Bulged Reflector (BR)are also referred to asReflectors (R)have a reflective coating inside as suggested by the name. The reflection drives approximately 2x more light in a downward direction. Reflectors are separated into two basic categories, the first being Flood Lights which spreads out the light and the second being Spot Lights which focuses the light.
Measuring BR/R LightsThe value behind the BR represents the diameter of the bulb in 1/8's of an inch. BR30 therefore equal 30 1/8" which equals approximately 3.75 inches.
