DEscriptIONS AND PROPERTIES:
Xylitol is white crystalline powder, a new natural sweetener made from corncob or sugar cane bagasse. Its sweetness level equals that of sucrose. Xylitol also exists in various of plants such as vegetables, fruits and wild mushrooms. Xylitol is an intermediate that regularly operate on the glucose metabolism in human body. It is often used for therapeutic purposes. It can be directly utilized by human cells in cases of lack of insulin in the human body because of its insulin-independent nature. It can supply liver glycogen and improves liver function; this is the reason why xylitol is ideal for use in the resuscitation of patients from diabetic and hepatic coma. It has the function of tooth-decay prevention, because it cannot be utilized by cariogenic bacteria in oral cavity. Xylitol is widely used in foods, medicine and light industries.
It is white crystal or crystalline powder, sweet, with a sweetness equivalent to that of sucrose, soluble in water (160g/ml approximately) and slightly soluble in ethanol and methanol, with a melting point of 91℃-96℃, a boiling point of 216℃, and a calorific value of 16.72KJ/g (as the same with glucose). As it absorbs heat when dissolving in water, so when it is eaten in solid form, you will have a happy and cool mouthfeel. 10% xylitol solution has a pH value of 5.0-7.0.
EDIBILITY CHARACTERISTICS:
1. Structurally, xylitol has no aldehyde group and ketone group, so it will not produce “Maillard” browning reaction while heating and may be made into bakery food of different flavors.
2. Xylitol is capable of promoting proliferation of bifidobacterium as well as beneficial flora in intestinal tract and improving gastrointestinal function; with high activity, it is a promising functional additive.
3. As xylitol can hardly be fermented by yeast, it is a poor medium for microorganisms.
4. Cool feeling of xylitol can increase flavor of mint, spearmint and other food.
5. As provided in GB2760 that, xylitol is applicable for various foods, and may be added appropriately according to production needs.

Food Industry: sugar-free chewing gums, sugar-free chocolates, sugar-free candies, sugar-free cakes, sugar-free drinks and fruit jellies, etc.
Medicine: injections, health drinks, digestive drugs, throat soother, cough syrup, etc.
Cosmetics: face cream, beauty cream, cleaner, etc.
Hygienic Product: toothpaste, mouth cleansers, etc.
1. It may be used in chewing gum, gum confection, Toffee, soft sweets, jellies, chocolates and buccal tablets, with the functions of throat-soothing, tooth-cleaning and tooth decay prevention.
2. With non-fermentation, it may replace sucrose to be applied in drinks, milk, bread, preserved fruit, biscuits, yogurt, jams and rice puddings to strengthen their good taste and lasting sweetness.
3. Xylitol is capable of moisturizing and improving rough skin exactly like glycerin, and makes people feel fresh and cool rather than tacky when applied. Therefore, it may be used in various skin care products and toothpastes.
4. Xylitol can provide ideal sugar substitutes for diabetics. Juices, drinks, coffee, milk, ice cream, bread and candy may use xylitol in replace of sucrose, and xylitol may also take replace of sucrose when cooking sweet and source spare ribs, sweet and sour fish, etc. In a word, diabetics may use xylitol just like normal people use sucrose. However, daily total dosage should preferably not exceed 40g for adults, and such a quantity should be halved for children.
Note: as xylitol is slowly absorbed in intestinal tract, if too much xylitol is taken at a time, light diarrhea may occur according to different body constitution. However, such diarrhea will disappear automatically after dosage adjustment.

PACKAGE:
Adopt the package of 1,000kgs/bag, 600kgs/bag, 500kgs/bag, and 25kgs/bag. For 25kgs bags, 20' container quantity is 20mt with pallet and 22mt without pallet. It may also be packaged according to users’ need.
STORAGEAND TRANSPORTATION:
The product should be stored on the pallet, in a light-proof, well-closed, cool, dry and ventilated place (At a relative humidity of ≤75%). Following the above guidelines should insure 24-month shelf life. After opening the original packing, the complete content should be used immediately. Material can be microbiologically contaminated from unhygienic environment. It is a non-dangerous product and can be transported as a common chemical product. Protect them from sunshine or rain.
